This week at AdMed I got a more in-depth training on how to break out files for animators. This is a task I had been lightly trained on a few weeks ago. However, since one of the members of our team was out of office on vacation this week, I was assigned multiple tasks that involved breaking out files for an important billable project. Before I completed these assignments, I had a meeting with one of the members of the graphic design team, who walked me through the specific way that the animators like this task to be completed, including how to name each layer in Illustrator and the order in which the layers should be organized. These tasks take hours the complete at a time and I was assigned 5 of them, so most of my week was spent on breaking out the files. At the end of this project, I am proud to say that I got great praised by the person who trained me on how I did.

In the tail-end of the week I shifted gears from graphic design to audio editing. I ended up getting assigned multiple audio editing tasks that were due at the end of the day. For these tasks I listen to a voiceover while looking at a script. I pick the best take from each frame, cut out the mistakes, and clean up the audio, removing breaths, saliva, clicks, and any background noise. Overwhelmed by the amount of tasks due by the end of the day, I reached out to my supervisor and got one of them reassigned. My supervisor said that it is a big compliment that I was getting so much work assigned from other members of the team.

Outside of work, I have been taking many walks in the city to different restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. I have been feeling very lucky to be located in such a great spot. I also found out that another Juniata student, Casey, is living in the city, as well. We met up this week and bonded over tacos!
